I am the owner/craftswoman/one-man-band of Scorched Leather Arts.
 

Unlike most leatherworkers who's first projects are belts or wallets, I decided to "go big or go home" and dove head first into making my own full suit of armor for use in the Belegarth Medieval Combat Society.
From there I found my love for the medium and haven't looked back! In the summer of 2024, I was honored to be elevated to Master Artificer within the BMCS Artificer Guild for my work in leather and ceramic.

I hold a Bachelors degree in music education, and a Masters degree in community arts education. My day job is Education Specialist and Designer for the fabulous Mayco Colors company in Columbus, Ohio.

Thanks to the encouragement of my family, friends, and passionate people in many an online community, I finally have enough confidence to turn Scorched Leather Arts into a small hobby business.  I've met some amazing people through this process and am truly humbled to now have my leather work in states across the US, and  internationally in Canada,  Austria, and New Zealand.
